Suds & Science With Ryan Rebozo
Join VCE biologist Jason Hill in an interactive event with Dr. Ryan Rebozo (Vermont Center for Ecostudies' brand new Director of Conservation Science!) in a conversation about applied management and conservation of rare plant communities in the New Jersey Pinelands. What strategies have been successful in achieving on-the-ground conservation there, and how might we apply those lessons to plant communities in New England? Ryan's research and management work has examined the effects of recreational activities, prescribed fire, mycorrhizal fungi and soil conditions on rare plant communities, and he works closely with NPOs, state and federal agencies and stakeholder groups to achieve conservation.

You'll have the chance to ask questions throughout the interview, and we'll likely engage in some small group discussion via Zoom break out rooms. Not quite the same as gathering in person for a pint at the Norwich Inn, so you'll have to BYOB to this virtual event. See you there!
